Where's Waldo Saturday MTB Ride

Join us for a ride at Waldo State Park. This ride is suitable for beginner, intermediate and higher level riders.

Trails are easy to moderate. Smooth flowy trails with slight up hill and down hill grades. All features have ride-arounds. Certain sections/trails can be technical.

For this ride, beginner truly means beginner. If you have never been on singletrack, join the fun and ride in a no pressure, no drop group. Beginner riders should expect 2-4 mph rides that will last any where between 30 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the group. Distance will be 2-4 miles. We do our best to avoid extremely technical trails or sections.

Intermediate and above riders should expect to ride 1.5 hours. Distance will be 6-8 miles. Message us if you'd like to be a regular or occasional ride leader for this group.

All riders must bring a trail-worthy bike, closed-toe shoes, and helmet to each ride. We recommend bringing a water bottle/hydration pack. If you love mountain biking and care about the environment, consider joining NEMBA. NEMBA is the most effective way for you to build, maintain and open the trails you love to ride.

Bethel Holiday Lights & Sights Ride

Deck yourselves and/or your bike with lights or other holiday bling and join us to see the holiday lights and sights of Bethel/Danbury.  Follow local cyclist Ron van Oostendorp as we Ooh! and Ahh! at the sights along the 15-20 mile route.

  • Where You Gotta Be: At Bethel Cycle Works. 108 Greenwood Avenue, Bethel, CT

  • When You Gotta Be There: 6:00 PM with sleighs ready

  • How Far You’re Gonna Go: Approximately 15-20 urban paced miles.  No big hills!

  • How Hard It’s Gonna Be: We’ll ride at a relaxed pace mixed traffic (with photo ops along the way). Participants must have solid bike-handling skills, be able to ride in traffic, and be comfy riding several miles without stopping.

What You Gotta Bring - Bike, helmet (no ifs, ands, or buts!), bike lights (required by law for night riding in CT), weather-appropriate clothing, and a sense of adventure! And again, we will be riding at night, so be sure to bring lights (preferably holiday themed)!

Finish up at the shop with hot chocolate and holiday ‘spirits’ (on us)!
